Closing Time...

The case of Meowdred Pierce, aka #findNoirCat has come to a screeching halt. Screeching, to put it lightly! This case was more than erratic and has taught our team a lot. The means by which we found NoirCat are graphic, and will likely blow your mind, as it did ours.

Here is a quick recap of what we had prior to today's closing of the case:

^^ This was the last time NoirCat was seen before she was deemed "missing".

^^ We had no idea how helpful this app would be. At first, the team here at The Mafia thought this was some kind of joke. I mean, who in the world (other than us) has the time or the money to develop an app JUST to track down their own cat. And to point out, why in God's name would someone set up an app to track their OWN animal down, and was it set up before NoirCat went missing? Couldn't possibly be irony...

As mentioned in this week's update, the above photo was taken in Downtown Fredericksburg while trying to grab some of that famous Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. Let me just add, the pizza definitely deserves the title of "famous" if it doesn't already have it at this point in time. In fact, I hereby declare that pizza FAMOUS. Ok, back to the case at hand.

This photo was also included in the last post. But in case you didn't see it, let me bring you up to speed. This photo was sent to our Agency by an "anonymous" sender. Our initial thought, was that it was from our two prime suspects: Groom and Daphne. The plan was to interview the two suspects, and we had two agents laying low outside their residence watching their every move. These two agents are good and nothing was getting past them. The stakeout had been going on for almost 24 hours, and still no sign of any activity that was out of the ordinary.

Here is the video we showed you in the initial update. We studied the tape for hours, picking apart every piece of it from every angle. One thing that I picked up on was the fact that Daphne could literally not keep quiet. Was there a message she was trying to tell us? Was she covering up some background noise (potentially sounds from NoirCat)? Or, could this video have been a cover up and were there some clues in the film that we were missing? These are the questions that were being thrown around and let me just throw out there, that one of them ended up being the answer.

The guys had enough of the stakeout and went in to interview the suspects. I approved and told them to go for it because we needed to close the case. Groom and Daphne could only keep referring us to this video. There was one part imparticular that they kept stressing. They could only say so much. Right at the 38 second mark of the video, you see Daphne begin to look down and this let us know that she knew something was terribly wrong. She knew something, and Groom confirmed that she had torn up the note to cover up the evidence. Understable, if you ask me. They did what they had to do to protect their family.

Post interview, we gathered back at the Mafia headquarters to go over all of the information we had collected up to that point. We wanted to tie the knot on this case. During our review, we received two (crazy) images via email. Below is what we received:

Everyone knows that cat's hate water. Making one swim and not even giving it the courtesy of a nice bath? COME ON NOW!

Really though... what's going on here...

It's TORTURE! We had to get to the bottom of this ASAP if we had any chance at finding NoirCat and getting her back to Maggie. It was at this point in time, that we turned to our Find NoirCat App! We had been doubting this app since day one, but of course all of us questioned the reason for it's existence. Immediately upon turning on the app, the notifications were blowing all of our devices up! Location on location on location. One location caught our attention and it was the only one that was really clear, as it was the only one that was on every device. This location, was the house of Maggie Black! SURPRISE! SEE BELOW!

We immediately gathered everyone on the team to go to the Black residence. We knew something had to be up. When we got to the home, the house was dark, and the app was flashing like never before. We approached the house as if it were as delicate as the scene of a fresh crime. Needless to say, things got real ugly real quick. We walked in, and this is what we saw!

On the other side of the gun, and on the floor (edited out of the picture), was Black. DEAD. We quickly got ahold of NoirCat before she could get away and locked her up until the police arrived. Was this a success for us? Will we see another case of this caliber again? We found NoirCat, but not before the worst actually happened.

PLEASE CONTACT THE MAFIA VIA OUR CONTACT FORM OR TWITTER IF THERE ARE FURTHER QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS CASE.

Thanks,

Vinny D and The Mafia Team
